Vahid Aliyev

Vahid Aliyev is a well-known LGBTI rights activist from Azerbaijan. He is currently studying an MA in Queer History at Goldsmiths, University of London. He is a freelance translator, writer and researcher. He has been writing for OC Media, The Caucasus Edition, translating for Minority Azerbaijan and for many other organizations and institutions. The main focus of his work is queer theory and history, feminism and emerging LGBTI community vs Globalisation/Capitalism. He is a founder of “Mavi'' (The Blue) thought circle that focuses on LGBTIQ+ related academic education and progressive thinking. He has been part of the Imagine team since 2018.
